James Creek is home to 4 of the area boat launches for Raystown Lake including one at Lake Raystown Resort and Conference Center. The resort offers a marina, lodge, restaurants, camping, water park, and a conference center. The resort also puts on a spectacular fireworks display 3 times a year, Memorial Day, 4 of July and Labor Day. Another little known local attraction is Trough Creek State Park. The pristine natural beauty of Trough Creek State Park is not to be missed. Grab a picnic lunch at the Port Side Market and plan on spending the day hiking Copperas Rock, Abbot Run, Ledges, and the Rhododendron trails, nature watching, or fishing you will be glad you did.
