Huntingdon
Huntingdon is located along the Juniata River, approximately 32 miles east of Altoona and 98 miles west of Harrisburg. Huntingdon is also the largest borough closest to Raystown Lake. Along with tranquile charm Huntingdon also offers a hospital, shopping, movies and restaurants. Huntingdon is also home to Juniata College, a private liberal arts college. In 2009, Huntingdon was named by Budget Travel magazine’s readers as the 5th Coolest Small Towns in the United States. Huntingdon has also been the home of the Huntingdon County Fair since 1831. The fair is a tradition not to be missed. The Huntingdon County Fair is known as a premier agricultural exposition second only to the State Farm Show.
